The paper describes the results of the All-Russian Research of adaptation, consolidation and professionaldevelopment of young teachers. It considers the concept of professional interest, its understandingand application in relation to teachers with 0-3 years’ work experience, the opportunities to studyprofessional interest and its dynamics. The study attempts to explore the dynamics of the interestdepending on the experience, the characteristics of an educational institution, the regional system andpolicy in education both in the country and in every subject of the Russian Federation.The data obtained after a thorough examination of the dynamics of professional interest, depending onvarious factors, may allow forecasting directions for the professional development of various groupsof young teachers
